Upon Customer contact with a request, an electronic work order is initiated an assigned to a CBS employee. A Field tech will be dispatched if the call is a corrective maintenance Service call. The Tech will contact the customer to schedule an arrival window. Once on site the Service Tech will diagnose the problem and provide a Block Based (this is a quote based on scope and one price provided which includes all labor and materials). The customer will either accept or reject the block repair quote. If the quote is approved the repairs will be made and a field three ply field invoice will be generated. Payment for residential repairs is expected at the completion of the work. All workmanship is warranted for one year, Parts are warranted as per the manufactures warranty which is generally one year. For corrective maintenance service calls there is a $70 diagnostic charge. If any repair quote is approved by the customer the diagnostic charge is waved. Equipment replacement quote work orders generally follow the same process as the corrective work orders but there is no diagnostic charge. Equipment replacement quotes are free of charge. Second quotes - If the customer has been given a scope of work by another service company CBS will provide a second quote to compare utilizing the problem and work scope provided by the other company. The customer needs to provide the equipment manufacturer, Model number, Serial number and the problem definition. (the other companies pricing will not be requested). Pictures of the equipment nameplates work best. CBS will not verify the accuracy of the problem definition prior to providing the second quote. If CBS's 2nd quote is approved, CBS will gear up to perform the work in the field. Upon arrival a diagnostic check will be performed to make sure CBS is in agreement with the original diagnosis. If we agree with the original diagnosis the quoted work is performed and system returned to service. If CBS does not agree with the original diagnosis a new quote for the new scope will be generated and a new approval round will be executed. For all residential work payment is expected in the form of a Check made out to CBS Services at the completion of the service or Installation. |
